About this Blog

When I finished my studies and founded my first “real” IT company in 1992, I had developed a clear theoretical concept of my business model and strategy. But the implementation of this concept proved in practice to be much more difficult.

Stefan UtzingerAs an entrepreneur or a start-up founder, you have to deal not only with the customers, projects, people and cash-flow – if your goal is to build a successful and growing company, the most important factor is to develop a company positioning and execute a clear strategy.

I called this blog “blue ocean thinking”, having been inspired by the groundbreaking “blue ocean strategy”  www.blueoceanstrategy.com. In typical blue ocean thinking I want to explore ideas and ways to create uncontested market spaces and analyse how even small companies can make the competition irrelevant.

Stefan shares his expertise and practical experience with building successful enterprises and direct and indirect sales channels in particular in his 2011 book publication Channel Revolution. Please find further information at www.channel-revolution.com.
